Job description
Doing this job includes:
- Performing preventive maintenance and developing maintenance procedures for all mobile equipment for our mining partner using your expertise in heavy equipment mechanics.
- Verifying, inspecting, and maintaining mobile equipment on the client’s site.
- Diagnosing problems and identifying the nature of the equipment issues using your diagnostic skills.
- Preparing detailed repair reports, identifying the causes of failures and the solutions applied.
- Adjusting, repairing, and/or replacing defective parts with your excellent manual dexterity.
- Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with requirements.
- Following all safety standards and paying close attention to processes, quality standards, and operational requirements of the mining partner.

General skills
We’re a great fit if:
- You hold a DEP in heavy equipment mechanics.
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- You possess an explosives permit (essential asset).
- You prioritize health and safety at work.
- You are bilingual with advanced English proficiency (required to work in Nunavut, where English is the primary language).
- You have experience in the mining sector—this is a major advantage!
